Getting to the fantasia venue
The return shuttle from Agadir and Taghazout, driving yourself, summer traffic, what to bring, and how to fit the evening around flights and early starts.
Reserve the fantasia evening ↗Where the evening happens
The venue is in Temsia, a commune on the Souss plain in the Inezgane-Aït Melloul prefecture, south-east of Agadir. Agadir's international airport is a few minutes away by road. The exact location is on your booking, and the organiser answers questions through GetYourGuide. Most visitors never need it, because the return shuttle is part of the ticket and the driver knows the way. If you are flying into Agadir, the airport's location in Temsia also makes the venue an easy first or last evening, as long as your flight times leave room for a four-hour night.
The return shuttle
Return transport from Agadir and Taghazout is included, in an air-conditioned vehicle. Your confirmation gives the pickup point and time, so check it the day before. Taghazout is a fishing and surfing village up the coast north-west of Agadir, which means guests staying there have the longer ride. The whole evening, shuttle included, takes about four hours. If the driver has not appeared, contact the organiser through the GetYourGuide app rather than waiting in silence.
Summer traffic
In the busy summer months, heavy traffic in Agadir can delay pickups. Be ready a little before your time, keep your phone switched on in case the driver calls, and allow for a later return than you might expect on the busiest nights. Plan around the four-hour figure rather than a fixed finish, and keep the rest of that evening clear. Nothing else needs booking for the night.
Driving yourself
The shuttle is optional. If you would rather drive, the venue has free private parking, and the organiser asks you to say in advance that you are coming by car. Take the location from your booking. Remember that the evening is long and drinks are sold at the venue; if anyone in the car plans to drink, the shuttle is the better choice.
What to bring
A light jacket in winter, because dinner is mostly outdoors under tents, with covered areas used in the cooler months. Ear defenders for small children, for the rifle volleys in the arena. Money for drinks, which are not included. If you need the vegetarian menu or want to arrange a birthday surprise, sort it out before the night: the menu is chosen when you book, and special requests need at least 24 hours' notice.
Fitting it into your trip
Because the evening starts with a drive and finishes late, avoid booking it the night before an early flight or a dawn excursion. Since cancelling costs nothing until 24 hours before and payment can wait, you can hold places early in your trip and adjust once your plans settle. Daytime plans pair well with it: a city tour in the morning, or an afternoon on quad bikes in the dunes, still leaves time to rest before pickup.
Wheelchairs, babies and older children
Wheelchair users should note that the ticket is listed as accessible. If you or someone in your group uses a wheelchair, message the organiser through GetYourGuide after booking to check the shuttle and seating for your night. Babies under two go free if they do not need a seat of their own. Older children usually love the horses, acrobats and fire-eaters, but the rifle volleys are loud, so talk them through the charge before it starts and keep ear defenders handy.
Agadir in brief
Agadir sits on the Atlantic coast at the western end of the Souss valley, with the Atlas ranges inland. It is known as the capital of Amazigh culture in Morocco, one of the few big Moroccan cities where Tamazight is spoken by more than half the population. Rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake, it is now Morocco's largest seaside resort, with a long beach and a mild winter that draws northern Europeans.
